The Notebooks
In his own clever words Burton wrote fluidly about his daily life and the lives of those in his personal, professional world. He began his Notebooks in 1966 and continued, albeit with some pauses, until his death in 1984. The Notebooks are fascinating for their wit and frankness, and for the depths they reveal about a miner's son from the Welsh valleys who becomes a successful actor and narrator on the world's stage. The Notebooks remain unpublished in their entirety.
Meeting Mrs Jenkins
In this short article, Burton wrote of his initial meeting and relationship with Elizabeth Taylor.
Look
Burton spent time crafting an article on Wales for Look magazine.
Vogue
British Vogue commissioned Burton to write two articles. One entitled 'My Day' and the other 'Travelling with Elizabeth'. Both were published in separate editions of the magazine in 1971.

While filming A Walk with Destiny, Burton wrote an article for the New York Times stating clearly his views on Churchill. He is bold and unsparing with his hatred and criticism of the politician.
Lament For A Dead Welshman
When Burton’s close friend Stanley Baker died, he was so devastated that he was compelled to write an article on the fellow actor. While the article was not commissioned, it was published in The Observer newspaper.
